I am a retired heavy equipment mechanic who wasn’t quite ready to sit in a rocking chair for the rest of my life.  The shift towards electric vehicles interests me with their potential to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels, as well as saving money in this period of high gas prices. I purchased my first ebike a few years ago and loved everything about it. I sold the first bike, deciding to build my own mid-drive custom bike. Ebikes have an additional benefit of helping to motivate Canadians get outdoors and get more physically active. Many people have a bike that they can no longer ride, doing an affordable ebike conversion opens up a whole new world for them.
